The classic Hamer heel blend. The access to the highest frets is superb, and with the sustainiac switched to the "harmonic" position you can play notes only dogs hear!

Black binding, fingerboard and hardware against a transparent red flamed maple top gives this guitar the "Bordello" look. The fingerboard choice had to be black ebony with black binding to match the rest of the instrument. Crown inlays of mother of pearl are juxtaposed with the giant pole-piece of the Sustainiac driver. Is that a Floyd Rose?

Continuing the red and black theme, the back of the guitar is festooned with black cover plates to house the various electronics imbedded in the mahogany back.

1. Pilihlah orang seiman.

Minyak dan air tidak boleh bercampur. Seekor tikus dan seekor ular boa tidak boleh menjadi kawan karib. Seorang yang sangat takut berada di tempat tinggi bukanlah pilihan yang tepat untuk dijadikan teman pendaki lereng Gunung Everest. Seorang komunis radikal bukanlah teman pengiring dalam politik bagi seorang yang kuat berpegang pada faham kapitalis. Anjing jenis besar dan anjing jenis kecil tidak akan bekerjasama dengan baik sebagai anjing penarik kereta luncur salji di Alaska. Demikian juga, seorang pengikut Kristus tidak akan menjadi pasangan hidup yang sepadan dengan seorang yang bukan seiman.

Mengapa terlalu sibuk dengan soal bakal pasangan hidup saya seiman atau bukan?

Sebenarnya, tiada perkara lain yang lebih penting bagi anda atau bakal pasangan hidup anda selain keadaan kerohanian anda berdua. Abraham mengetahui perkara itu. Dia menyuruh hambanya menempuh perjalanan yang sangat jauh (lebih 400 batu) untuk mencari pengantin perempuan yang sepadan dengan anaknya secara rohani. Abraham bukan semata-mata seorang bapa yang terlalu melindungi atau mengawal; dia tahu kepentinganjangka panjang suatu perkahwinan. Kejadian 24 membantu kita mengerti sebabnya.

Abraham memberikan hambanya (kemungkinan hamba tuanya yang setia, iaitu Eliezer, yang disebut dalam 15.2) perintah tegas ini: "...kamu tidak akan mencari isteri untuk anakku Ishak, di kalangan orang di tanah Kanaan ini. Kamu harus kembali ke negeri tempat kelahiranku untuk mencari isteri baginya di kalangan saudara maraku." (ay 3, 4). Orang Kanaan terkenal dengan penyembahan berhala yang sangat keji. Dewa-dewa dan dewi-dewi mereka menganjurkan penyembahan yang menuntut korban manusia dan upacara kesuburan yang mengamalkan perhubungan seks sumbang.

Siapakah orang Kanaan pada masa ini?

Baiklah, mungkin orang yang menjadi teman anda selama ini tidak menghadiri gereja yang menganjurkan korban manusia atau upacara seksual, dan dia tidak menyembah dewa-dewa kesuburan. Bagaimanapun, isunya adalah siapakah yang disembahnya? Adakah orang yang anda cintai itu mengenal Yesus Kristus sebagai Penyelamat? Adakah orang itu hidup bagi Yesus Kristus? Orang Kanaan moden bukan semestinya orang yang sama sekali tidak percaya kepada Tuhan. Mereka boleh kelihatan beragama secara positif, tetapi menjadi orang beragama belum cukup.

Kitab 2 Korintus 6.14, 15 menyatakan, "Janganlah cuba bekerjasama dengan orang yang tidak percaya kepada Kristus, kerana hal itu tidak sesuai. Kebaikan dan kejahatan tidak dapat bersama-sama. Kristus tidak dapat bersetuju dengan Iblis. Orang Kristian tidak mempunyai hal yang sama dengan orang bukan Kristian." Ketika Rasul Paulus menulis kata-kata itu, dia tidak merujuk hal perkahwinan secara khusus, namun prinsipnya tentu sekali boleh diterapkan. Seseorang yang menaruh kepercayaannya kepada Kristus sudah dilahir semula (Yoh 3.3-16), dan "Apabila seseorang bersatu, dengan Kristus, orang itu menjadi manusia baru. Yang lama sudah lenyap dan yang baru bermula. " (2 Kor 5.17). Perubahan radikal seperti itu dalam kehidupan rohani kita seharusnya memberikan kesan yang ketara dalam keutamaan kita, sasaran kita, gaya hidup kita, dan perhubungan kita.

Kitab 1 Korintus 7.39 menunjukkan bahawa seorang balu, jika dia memilih untuk berkahwin semula, hendaklah berkahwin dengan seorang lelaki yang "Kristian". Lelaki itu mesti seiman, yang hidup dengan iman kepada Yesus Kristus. Tentu sekali firman ini bukan sahaja bagi para balu tetapi juga bagi sesiapa sahaja yang merancang untuk berkahwin.

Oleh itu, jika anda seorang yang beriman, orang yang anda. kahwini haruslah juga seiman. Carilah orang yang mengenal Kristus sebagai Penyelamat, dan yang menyatakan pertumbuhan rohani.

Apakah yang akan berlaku jika saya tidak berkahwin dengan orang yang seiman dengan saya?

Banyak perkara. Jika anda dapat berbual-bual dengan Musa atau Raja Salomo, mereka pasti memberitahu anda bahayanya terhadap keluarga dan masyarakat orang beriman. Musa mendapat firman tentang hal ini langsung daripada Tuhan, dan Salomo mengetahui perkara ini daripada pengalaman peribadinya. Dia telah mengalami akibat yang buruk sekali kerana berkahwin dengan orang yang bukan seiman.

Hukum yang Allah berikan kepada Musa mengandungi larangan berkahwin dengan bangsa bangsa di sekitar yang tidak percaya kepada Allah. Ulangan 7.3,4 menyatakan, "Jangan berkahwin dengan mereka, dan jangan biar anak-anak kamu berkahwin dengan mereka, kerana mereka akan menjauhkan anak-anak kamu daripada TUHAN, sehingga anak-anak kamu itu menyembah tuhan-tuhan lain..." Walaupun Salomo sudah mengetahui semua itu, namun dia menyalahgunakan beberapa keistimewaannya sebagai raja dan berkahwin dengan berbagai ragam perempuan asing yang menyembah berhala.
Akibatnya, "...mereka berjaya membujuknya menyembah tuhan-tuhan lain ketika Raja Salomo sudah tua..." (I Raj 11.4). Raja Salomo dan seluruh bangsa menderita (ayat 11 - 13).

Sepanjang sejarah Israel, apabila mereka berkahwin dengan orang yang tidak seiman, maka pasti ada pengaruh yang ketara dan negatif terhadap orang Israel. Walaupun mereka telah dihukum melalui tentera asing,
orang Yahudi yang kembali ke Yerusalem masih perlu ditegur dengan keras oleh Ezra(9-10) dan Nehimaya(13.23-27), dan kemudian oleh Maleakhi(2.11,12). Cinta, nafsu, dan keadaan membutakan mereka terhadap apa yang diketahui mereka sebagai benar dan salah.

Kita yang percaya kepada Kristus mesti berhati-hati terhadap godaan yang tidak mahu memperhatikan isu ASAS tentang kesesuaian kerohanian. Hanya kerana orang tersebut hendsom, segak bergaya, tegap,cantik, terpelajar, kaya, murah hati dan bertimbang rasa, atau kelihatanya "sangat mencintai saya,"

AWAS" jangan biarkan perasaan membuat anda menginjak-injak perhubungan anda dengan Elohim."

Walaupun Rasul Paulus dan Rasul Petrus bercakap tentang kemungkinan membawa pasangan hidup percaya kepada Kristus kelak (1 Kor 7.12-16 dan 1 Ptr 3.1,2), hal itu tidak bererti bahawa kita sengaja melangsungkan perkahwinan dengan orang yang kita tahu tidak sempadan secara rohani. Seorang yang beriman yang berkahwin dengan seorang yang tidak percaya berkemungkinan akan menghadapi ketidakstabilan kerohanian dalan perkahwinan seumur hidupnya dan juga peperangan tentang hidup kerohanian anak-anak.

Cuba renungankan hal-hal berikut:

• Mengapa segolongan orang Kristian memilih untuk berkahwin dengan orang yang tidak beriman walaupun mereka tahu tindakan itu salah?
  
• Apakah konflik yang akan berlaku dalam perkahwinan jika kedua-duanya bukan orang beriman?
  
• Apakah kesan perkahwinan seperti ini terhadap iman anak-anak semasa mereka bertumbuh?

Bagaimana Mencari Jodoh?

Gadis itu muda dan cantik, dan membesar di suatu pekan kecil. Pemuda itu kaya, anak tunggal, berumur 40 tahun, dan bekerja dengan bapanya dalam bidang bisnes penternakan. Rumah mereka dipisahkan oleh kurang lebih 400 batu, dan mereka belum pernah bersemuka sebelum hari perkahwinan mereka.

Seorang lelaki tua, hamba yang Sudah lama sekali bekerja dengan bapa pengantin lelaki itu bertindak sebagai tukang risik. Pada hari hamba tua itu tiba di pekan tempat gadis tersebut, hamba tua itu berjumpa dengan dia, menanyakan beberapa soalan, berbincang dengan sanak saudaranya, kemudian hamba itu tahu bahawa gadis itulah yang akan dikahwinkan dengan anak lelaki tuannya. Orang tua itu mengajukan pertanyaan kepada bapa gadis tersebut kemudian mngatur perjalanan pulang bersama-sama gadis itu untuk dikahwinkan, dan gadis itu pergi dengan rela hati! Pengantin perempuan itu ialah Ribka dan pengantin lelaki itu pula ialah Ishak.

Kitab Kejadian 24 yang mengisahkan perkahwinan. mereka memberikan contoh yang luar biasa tentang cara Allah membuat dua orang peribadi bertemu. Pada masa kini, teladan mereka mungkin tidak dapat diikuti secara terperinci, namun kisah tindakan Abraham dalam hal merisik memberikan beberapa prinsip baik yang dapat diterapkan apabila kita hendak mengambil keputusan tentang siapa jodoh kita pada zaman dan budaya hari ini.

Oleh itu, dalam kajian ini, kita akan merujuk kepada kisah Ishak dan Ribka. Sebenarnya, sebelum anda membaca lebih lanjut, ada baiknya anda membuka Alkitab dan membaca Kejadian 24, sambil mencari prinsip-prinsip yang dapat diterapkan kepada keadaan masa kini.

Agar kita melihat gambaran yang lebih lengkap tentang cara mencari jodoh, maka kita juga akan merujuk beberapa bahagian lain dalam Alkitab. Kemudian kita akan menyusun penemuan-penemuan tersebut di bawah tajuk-tajuk berikut:

(2) Percayalah kepada Allah,

(3) Perhatikan Keperibadian,

(4) Gunakan Hikmat,

(5) Fikirkan Masa Depan

Tiada sesiapapun yang suka dipaksa menjalinkan hubungan. Jika anda "diatur" untuk berjumpa seseorang, atau kehidupan asmara anda sentiasa ditanyakan oleh anggota keluarga atau teman-teman yang sebenamya ikhlas, anda akan berasa fidak selesa.
Walaupun seseorang hendak berkahwin satu hari nanti, proses janggal mencari orang yang tepat kelihatannya mengganggu saja dan kurang menguntungkan. Tambahan pula, ada risiko membuat kesilapan yang meagubah kehidupan, dan proses mengambil keputusan yang melumpuhkan fikiran.

Di beberapa tempat di dunia, seorang bujang tiada pilihan tentang siapa yang hendak dikahwininya. Perkahwinan diatur oleh keluarga (biasanya oleh bapa), dan pengantin perempuan diperlakukan hampir seperti harta benda keluarga.

Muzikal Fiddler on the Roof yang disukai ramai menggambarkan figa orang gadis Yahudi. Gadis-gadis itu takut menjadi pasangan yang berat hati dalam perkahwinan yang diatur dengan para pemuda di Anatevka, kampung kecil mereka di Rusia. Mereka menyanyi dengan pengharapan bahawa tukang risik akan menjadikan mereka "pasangan yang sempuma," tetapi pada rangkap selanjutnya dalam lagu yang sama, mereka memberitahu tukang risik supaya fidak usah terburu-buru! Seterusnya, dalam cerita itu, mereka berusaha untuk mengubah sikap bapa mereka, yang bernarna Tevye, terhadap pernilihan bakal pasangan hidup.
Walaupun tukang risik masih sangat giat di Anatevka, dan meskipun bapa-bapa merupakan golongan yang sangat kuat dalam keluarga, anak-anak perempuan Tevye berjaya membujuk dia untuk membenarkan mereka berkahwin dengan pernudapernuda yang dicintai mereka, kecuali seorang anak perempuan yang bersikeras untuk berkahwin dengan seorang pernuda yang tidak seiman dengan keluarganya.

Sikap terhadap perkahwinan terus-menerus berubah. Dalam keluarga yang selalu bepergian, serta berbudaya bandar, dan puaknya tidak lagi menjadi kuasa utarna (bapa tidak lagi berkuasa seperti raja), proses pengambilan keputusan dalarn pernilihan pengantin perempuan dan pengantin lelaki telah beralih kepada kesukaan individu yang terlibat, walaupun biasanya dengan restu keluarga. Bagaimanapun, hal ini tidak selalu bererti bahawa seseorang peribadi itu telah membuat keputusan yang lebih baik.

"Proses janggal mencari orang yang tepat kelihatannya mengganggu saja dan kurang menguntungkan."

Orang bujang dan yang sudah bercerai atau orang tua yang sudah menjadi balu semuanya boleh berkahwin lagi atas alasan-alasan yang salah. Seseorang yang masih muda mungkin, berkahwin atas alasan perasaan asmara semata-mata, atau atas alasan fakta-fakta yang kaku sahaja. Sescorang yang sudah bercerai mungkin berkahwin semula tanpa mempela.jari apa-apa daripada kesalahan yang lampau, hanya gara-gara berkahwin dengan orang yang tidak sempadan kerana alasan yang salah. Atau seseorang yang sudah menjadi balu, yang berasa sangat kesepian mungkin terburu-buru menjalinkan hubungan yang baru lalu berkahwin, -kemudian menyesal pula.

Alkitab memberikan prinsip-prinsip yang membantu dan yang boleh diterapkan oleh orang muda atau orang tua, dalam perkahwinan pertama atau perkahwinan kedua, dalam perkahwinan yang diatur oleh orang lain atau yang dirangsang oleh cinta asmara. Sesiapa sahaja yang harus mengambil keputusan sepatutnya mempertimbangkan isu-isu yang akan dibincangkan di dalam artikel ini nanti.

Bagai mana mencari jodoh?

Adakah bulu roma saya akan berdiri apabila orang yang tepat datang? Berapa gigihnya saya perlu mencari? Orang jenis apakah yang dihendaki oleh Elohim untuk saya? Bagaimana pula jika Emak dan Bapa atau teman-teman saya tidak suka dengan orang yang saya fikirkan sesuai? Adakah perbezaan besar sekiranya salah satu diantara kami tidak percaya pada Kristus?

Bagaimana dengan anda yang masih single? Adakah anda semakin hari semakin tertarik kepada sesorang tetapi tidak pasti sama ada perhubungan itu benar-benar menuju kepada perkahwinan?
Atau adakah anda sangat rindu untuk mendirikan rumah tangga tetapi langsung tidak mendapat perhatian? Bagaimanapun keadaan anda, pasti anda mahu membaca penerangan yang akan saya post melaluai blog ini.

Saya akan menerangkannya satu persatu berdasarkan prinsip-prinsip Alkitab untuk kebaikkan dan membimbing anda dalam mengambil keputusan yang sangat sukar ini, iaitu mencari pasangan hidup.

ADAKAH TUHAN MENCIPTAKAN KEJAHATAN?

Seorang Profesor dari sebuah universiti terkenal menantang
mahasiswa-mahasiswa nya dengan pertanyaan ini, "Apakah Tuhan
menciptakan segala yang ada?".

Seorang mahasiswa dengan berani menjawab, "Betul, Dia yang
menciptakan
semuanya". "Tuhan menciptakan semuanya?" Tanya professor sekali
lagi. "Ya, Prof, semuanya" kata mahasiswa tersebut.

Profesor itu menjawab, "Jika Tuhan menciptakan segalanya, berarti
Tuhan menciptakan Kejahatan. Karana kejahatan itu ada, dan menurut prinsip
kita bahwa pekerjaan kita menjelaskan siapa kita, jadi kita boleh
berasumsi bahwa Tuhan itu adalah kejahatan."

Mahasiswa itu terdiam dan tidak boleh menjawab hipotesis professor tersebut.
Profesor itu merasa menang dan menyombongkan diri bahwa sekali lagi
dia telah membuktikan kalau Kekristenan itu adalah sebuah mitos.

Mahasiswa lain mengangkat tangan dan berkata, "Profesor, boleh saya
bertanya sesuatu?"

"Tentu saja," jawab si Profesor

Mahasiswa itu berdiri dan bertanya, "Profesor, apakah dingin itu
ada?"

"Pertanyaan macam apa itu? Tentu saja dingin itu ada. Kamu tidak pernah
sakit flu?" Tanya si professor diiringi tawa mahasiswa lainnya.

Mahasiswa itu menjawab, "Kenyataannya, Prof, dingin itu tidak ada.
Menurut hukum fizik, yang kita anggap dingin itu adalah ketiadaan panas.

Suhu -460F adalah ketiadaan panas sama sekali. Dan semua partikel menjadi
diam dan tidak bisa bereaksi pada suhu tersebut.
Kita menciptakan kata dingin untuk mendeskripsikan ketiadaan panas.

Mahasiswa itu melanjutkan, "Profesor, apakah gelap itu ada?"

Profesor itu menjawab, "Tentu saja itu ada."

Mahasiswa itu menjawab, "Sekali lagi anda salah, Prof. Gelap itu juga
tidak ada. Gelap adalah keadaan dimana tidak ada cahaya. Cahaya bisa kita
pelajari, gelap tidak. Kita bisa menggunakan prisma Newton untuk
memecahkan cahaya menjadi beberapa warna dan mempelajari berbagai panjang
gelombang setiap warna.
Tapi Anda tidak bisa mengukur gelap. Seberapa gelap suatu
ruangan diukur dengan berapa intensiti cahaya di ruangan tersebut.
Kata gelap dipakai manusia untuk mendeskripsikan ketiadaan cahaya."

Akhirnya mahasiswa itu bertanya, "Profesor, apakah kejahatan itu
ada?"

Dengan bimbang professor itu menjawab, "Tentu saja, seperti yang
telah kukatakan sebelumnya. Kita melihat setiap hari di Akhbar dan TV.
Banyak perkara kriminal dan kekerasan di antara manusia. Perkara-perkara
tersebut adalah manifestasi dari kejahatan."

Terhadap pernyataan ini mahasiswa itu menjawab, "Sekali lagi Anda
salah,
Prof. Kajahatan itu tidak ada. Kejahatan adalah ketiadaan Tuhan.
Seperti dingin atau gelap, kajahatan adalah kata yang dipakai manusia untuk
mendeskripsikan ketiadaan Tuhan.

Tuhan tidak menciptakan kajahatan.
Kajahatan adalah hasil dari tidak adanya kasih Tuhan dihati manusia.
Seperti dingin yang timbul dari ketiadaan panas dan gelap yang
timbul dari
ketiadaan cahaya."

Profesor itu terdiam.

• Western Union, Money Gram, cashier's check, money order, shipping, escrow service, or a "guarantee"

Examples of Scams

1. Someone claims that craigslist will guarantee a transaction, certify a buyer/seller, OR claims that craigslist will handle or provide protection for a payment.

• These claims are fraudulent, as craigslist does not have any role in any transaction.
• Scammer will often send an official looking email that appears to come from craigslist, offering a guarantee, certifying a seller, providing payment services -- all such emails are fakes!

2. distant person offers a genuine-looking (but fake) cashier's check

• you receive an email (examples below) offering to buy your item, or rent your apartment, sight unseen.
• cashier's check is offered for your sale item, as a deposit for an apartment, or for just about anything else of value.
• value of cashier's check often far exceeds your item - scammer offers to "trust" you, and asks you to wire the balance via money transfer service
• banks will often cash these fake checks AND THEN HOLD YOU RESPONSIBLE WHEN THE CHECK FAILS TO CLEAR, including criminal prosecution in some cases!
• scam often involves a 3rd party (shipping agent, business associate owing buyer money, etc)

3. Someone requests wire service payment via Western Union or MoneyGram:

• Scam "bait" items include apartments, laptops, plasma TVs, cell phones, tickets - but could be almost anything
• Often claim that an MTCN or confirmation code is needed before he can withdraw your money - this is FALSE, once you've wired money, it is GONE.
• Common countries currently include: Nigeria, Romania, United Kingdom, Ukraine, Spain, Italy, Netherlands - but could be anywhere
• Apartment listing may be local, but landlord/owner is "travelling" or "relocating" and needs you to wire money to them abroad
• Deal often seems too good to be true, price is too low, rent is below market, etc

4. distant person offers to send you a money order and then have you wire money:

• this is ALWAYS a scam, in our experience - the cashier's check is FAKE
• sometimes accompanies an offer of merchandise, sometimes not
• scammer often asks for your name, address, etc for printing on the fake check
• deal often seems too good to be true

5. distant seller suggests use of an online escrow service.

• most online escrow sites are FRAUDULENT, operated by scammers
• for more info, do a google search on "fake escrow" or "escrow fraud"

6. Distant seller asks for a partial payment upfront, after which he will ship goods

• he says he trusts you with the partial payment
• he may say he has already shipped the goods
• deal often sounds too good to be true

7. Foreign company offers you a job receiving payments from customers, then wiring funds

• foreign company may claim it is unable to receive payments from its customers directly
• you are typically offered a percentage of payments received
• this kind of "position" may be posted as a job, or offered to you via email
